The therapy depends on the cause. If the cause is uterine the therapy is surgical (elimination of fibroids or obstacles inside the uterus such as polyps, fibroids, malformations, internal scarring and adhesions; circleage in pregnancy); if the cause is hormonal the hormones that are lacking can be administered (sometimes there is a deficit of the thyroid hormones); if the cause is immunological the therapy can be based on cortisone, aspirin, and more rarely immunoglobulin. The results are often good.
